Easy operation and maintenance

A simple design leads to a compact press brake, where all the hydraulic and mechanical elements are grouped together in the lowerpart, which leaves the top beam totally unobstructed thus offering a wide range of production possibilities and allowing easy access for general maintenance.

The hydraulic bending depth valve

The quality of a bend angle is dependent upon the precision of punch penetration into the die.
To obtain this precision, AMADA PROMECAM has equipped its press brakes with a hydraulic bending depth valve.

First advantage: the hydraulic stop allows the forming of a bend to the desired angle without trial-and-error, and without extra handling of the sheet, by progressive control of the angle during bending. The operation takes place in threephases.

  1. Bending to the desired angle

Second advantage : the hydraulic stop valve allows "manual" bending by controlling the raising and lowering of the beam. Heavy ar long sheets con be bent at the desired speed without jerks, and therefore without deflection of the bend.

With a construction which makes use of a small number of simple mechanical parts, the hydraulic stop is precise, sensitive, and above all very reliable. This simple device, designed by AMADA PROMECAM, can also be adapted to programming systems.

Sensitive control

The bending of thick or thin sheets, in single or complex shapes, small or large blanks, on scribed lines, on work stops, or bystepping, must be possible on a Press brake.

The sensitive AMADA PROMECAM press brake remote pedal gives the operator total control of the Press. With a single pedal, he can control all movement of the be amat various speeds in either direction.

  • Pedal idle : the beam is in the lower position.
  • Pedal gently depressed : the beam rises slowly.
  • Pedal depressed : the beam rises at its maximum speed, which differs depending on whether it is in approach or working travel.

NC contorl of axes

The mb numerical control system is a user-friendly option which greatly improves the productivity of the ITS press brake, whether the work required is in units or a production runs.

1, 2 or 3 axes can be controlled, therefore it is available in three version:
The press brake mb numerical control system can be controlled 1, 2 or 3 axes
  • mb 1 : Control of X Axis
  • mb 2 : Control of Y and X Axis
  • mb 3 : Control of X, Y and R or X, Y and Z Axis
  • X axis covers : back stop position.
  • Y axis : beam position.
  • R axis: finger stop level.
  • Z axis: distance between fingers.

1/100 at the touch of a button

Adjusting the depth af bend (Y axis) has become digital. The mb numerical control gives an accuracy of 0,01 mm. (Flange dimensions can be rigourously controlled, further assurance of precision.)

The back stop mechanism

The unqualified success of the AMADA PROMECAM CNC press brake back gauge is due to the compatibility of design between the mb logic controller and the mechanical components of the system.
The mechanical components consist of :

  1. rugged steel support arms, rigidly fastened to the lower beam of the press adjacent to the side frames to provide maximum clearance, i.e. for reverse bends.
  2. carriage on which are mounted 2 housingsfor gauge fingers. These housings have adjusting mechanisms for vertically positioning the fingers, and can also be adjusted laterally for finger separation.
